It’s difficult to describe … with
as much variety as holiday songs, as many voices as a winter concert, and
overlapping tones creating a one-of-a-kind audio experience. It’s the sounds
made by the big group of little dogs we bring to mobile adoption events. Attend
our next one this Saturday (Dec. 13) at Petco in Canoga Park from 11 a.m. to 5
p.m. to hear it for yourself! A sign will announce our location outside, while
the unique noise is sure to make folks wonder what all the excitement is about.
Confident, curious or happy canines
will be louder as they greet passers-by or ask for attention. Sometimes the
goal is simply getting in the last word, er, “woof.” Put in a special playpen,
the pack provides squeals of delight during playtime, or barks and grumbles
during friendly competition to be seen by potential adopters. Some want to be
petted, some need to go potty, others beg for a treat or a bit of whatever a
visitor is eating. From high-pitched howling or funny grunts to at-peace
panting or quiet sleeping, hints of their personalities are on display.
If you like what you hear or see,
decide with heart and head if you’re ready for a furry family member. On-site
volunteers can answer questions about the process, and give details about any
dog. The forecast is sunny skies and refreshing cool weather — a great time to
stop by!
